About

It is important to understand why we do the things we do. All products and services tell a story. My job as a User Experience designer is to listen for the “why” behind a project and tell that story through design.

I grew up outside of Washington D.C. in the '90s with a pair of headphones stuck to my ears. The act of listening has become one of my greatest skill sets and as a Fintech enthusiast, musician, and experience designer, I have nurtured a deep curiosity for learning from others. I also leverage expertise in conversation, shared understanding, and inclusion to share success with my collaborators and arrive at the best solution as a team.

I entered the workforce in customer service and technical support and spent years listening to user needs. This experience built a strong foundation of research and analysis for me to systematically uncover the underlying problems users face. Over the years, I’ve collected a wide range of tools and tactics to help me stay focused on important details for user-centered design.

Today, as a UX designer, I use my seemingly disparate knowledge base to connect unique patterns that others don't see. Finding these correlations and digging into the "why?" is my absolute favorite thing to do. My analytical and creative mind loves to dive into a problem and understand the underlying principles in order to design a perfect solution.

I believe user-centered design will be determine the success of the next generation of finance technology products.
